Edit web.config to display errors 

  • <customErrors mode=”On” />
    • SET TO <customErrors mode=”Off” />
  • <SafeMode MaxControls=”50″ CallStack=”false” />
    • SET TO <SafeMode MaxControls=”50″ CallStack=”true” />

    • If you get:
    ExecuteNonQuery requires an open and available Connection. The connection’s current state is closed.

    run grant_sql_perms.vbs script

    If you get
    ExecuteNonQuery: Connection property has not been initialized.
    add the connection string from the external web.config to the internal web.config too.

    ECST settings are in feature.xml file located at:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\ECTSBase
